Terms of Service
Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the PrathmIQ API or website. By accessing or using the service you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using any PrathmIQ service you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement. If you are using the service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
Service Description
PrathmIQ provides a regulatory intelligence API that monitors and structures signals from Indian regulatory bodies including RBI, SEBI, IRDAI, TRAI, MCA, and DPDP. The service is currently provided free of charge: new accounts receive a 90-day free trial with full API access, alongside a permanently free tier. Paid subscription plans are not yet available and no billing system is in operation.
API Usage
Rate limits
Each plan includes a daily API call quota as specified on the pricing page. Requests exceeding the quota will receive HTTP 429 responses. Unused quota does not roll over.
Fair use
You agree to use the API in a manner consistent with its intended purpose — regulatory monitoring and compliance automation. Automated scraping or redistribution of the raw signal data to third parties is prohibited without express written consent.
Prohibited uses
- Using the API to build competing regulatory intelligence products without a separate licence.
- Reverse-engineering PrathmIQ's data collection, parsing, or classification systems.
- Sharing API keys between multiple organisations or customers.
- Any use that violates applicable Indian or international law.
Fees and Billing
PrathmIQ is currently free to use. We do not operate a billing system, do not collect payment details, and cannot charge you. No fees are payable under these Terms as they stand.
We intend to introduce paid plans in future. If we do, we will publish the applicable fees and a cancellation and refund policy before any charge is made. No existing account will be moved onto a paid plan, and no payment will be taken, without your explicit action.
Data and Intellectual Property
PrathmIQ retains all rights in the structured signal data, classifications, and metadata produced by the service. You are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the API output within your own products and internal workflows. The source regulatory documents remain the property of the respective regulatory bodies.
Service Level and Uptime
We aim to keep the API continuously available and monitor its availability on an ongoing basis. We do not currently offer a contractual uptime guarantee or service credits, and the service is provided on an "as available" basis. Current status and any incidents are published at status.prathmiq.com. We are not liable for downtime caused by third-party infrastructure, regulatory body website outages, or force majeure events.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PrathmIQ's total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or use of the service is limited to the greater of (a) the fees paid by you to PrathmIQ in the 30 days preceding the claim, or (b) INR 1,000. As the service is currently provided free of charge, no fees will have been paid and clause (b) applies. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits or data loss.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you breach these Terms or engage in fraudulent activity. Upon termination, your access to the API will be revoked and your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Tamil Nadu, India.
